Legends Of Jazz: Stéphane Grappelli at Barking Legs Theater

Our quarterly Legends of Jazz series in association with the Knoxville Jazz Orchestra highlights the music of the great violinist, Stéphane Grappelli. Grappelli’s association with guitarist Django Reinhardt in the Quintette du Hot Club de France in the 1930s represents a landmark in the music’s history. This performance will help put recent highly attended Barking Legs performances by Ultrafaux and Djoukil in historic perspective.
Of course we need a fine violinist to pull this off, and we’re very pleased to have Knoxville’s Bethany Hankins at the helm. Bethany brought a wonderful group to our Wednesday Jazz in the Lounge last year...
