(Memphis, TN – Thursday, November 01, 2012) – GRAMMY award winning saxophonist Kirk Whalum, known for his much celebrated recording and live performance series, The Gospel According to Jazz, will kick off his inaugural Christmas concert tour “A Gospel According To Jazz Christmas” in his home town of Memphis, TN. The concert will take place at New Direction Christian Church at 8:00 PM on Friday November 30th. Keiko Matsui is a citizen of the world. Her music transcends boundary and her unique melting pot of musical influences have garnered her a devout international following. Keiko (pronounced Kay-Koe) means ‘happy, celebratory child’ in Japanese. With over a million and a half albums sold and scores of sold out concerts across the globe, Keiko Matsui is one of the brightest stars in instrumental music. Her free spirit and creative genius have afforded her the luxury to share the stage with everyone from Stevie Wonder and Miles Davis to Hugh Masakela and Bob James. The Road…, Keiko’s self produced and 22nd album includes the track "Affirmation" which features Kirk on tenor sax. The song was recently requested and performed live by Keiko and Kirk at Bishop T.D. Jakes 35th Anniversary Celebration.

Amber Bullock, the season four winner of BET’s Sunday Best, is one of gospel music’s upcoming and most talented performers. Amber studied classical vocal performance at Oakwood University in Huntsville, AL, touring stateside and internationally with their famed Aeolians. As well, she joined recording artist Oscar Williams for his Christmas tour in Italy. Her first solo release (July 2012) debuted at # 3 on the Billboard Gospel Album chart.

"The joy of the Christmas season is contagious! And the one thing it must include, is music. Keiko Matsui, Amber Bullock and I will invite the presence of the Spirit in a fresh new way as we present the most creative, imaginative, meaningful and JOYFUL Christmas celebration ever! Don't miss it." Kirk Whalum
